Rotary Club of Barrie

Rotary Club of Barrie – Making Barrie Better Since 1947

The Rotary Club of Barrie is proud to be one of the city’s longest-serving and most active community organizations. Since our founding in 1947, we’ve committed ourselves to making a lasting difference through impactful service, meaningful partnerships, and a shared dedication to the Rotary motto: “Service Above Self.”

Our mission is to create a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive Barrie. Through strategic fundraising, volunteerism, and community grants, we support projects that address critical needs—especially in areas like youth development, health, education, and community well-being.

With the support of generous donors and sponsors like the Barrie Community Foundation, we’ve proudly contributed to major local initiatives including:

  • The COVID Heroes and Memorial Garden at Sunnidale Park, a peaceful tribute honouring the resilience and sacrifice of frontline workers. More ›
  • The Rotary House at RVH, which provides “home away from home” accommodations for cancer patients and their families.
  • Ongoing support for Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka, which offers emotional and social support for families impacted by cancer.
  • The Rotary Book Project, through which we donate books annually to every Grade Two student in Barrie, encouraging a lifelong love of reading and literacy. More ›
  • Support for the RVH Hearts & Minds Campaign, contributing to youth mental health programs and cardiac care.

We’re also gearing up for our signature Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival, held every April at the Tiffin Centre—a beloved tradition and key fundraiser. Event Info ›
